NEW REVIEW ~Cole by Tijan (@TijansBooks)

He was the leader of the mafia. I was about to fall in love with him,
and his name…Cole Mauricio.

I shouldn’t have remembered him.
He was just a guy who walked through a restaurant. I didn’t know his name. We never made eye contact. There was no connection between us at all.
But I could feel him.
The tingle down my spine. The command in his presence. The snap of tension in the air around him. That was the first time I saw him, and I was captivated.
The second time was different.
He was in the mysterious back elevator of my apartment building. Our eyes met for a fleeting second before the doors closed, and I was staggered. My breath was robbed. My senses on high alert. My body hummed.
That was just the beginning.
He was the leader of the mafia. I was about to fall in love with him, and his name…
Cole Mauricio

*** I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review ***

This is the second book I have read by this Tijan, and like the last, I wasn’t disappointed. I do like my Mafia books that have suspense, drama, romance and action and Cole had it all. I was hooked from the start.

“The man whoever he was, he’d affected me in a way no other had.”

Just like Addison, I was captivated by sexy the Cole Mauricio, he was intriguing from the outset and surrounded by an air of mystery. I like the relationship that he and Addison shared. Their chemistry and physical attraction were palpable. Being a mafia boss there is a lot Cole can’t share with Addison, but he makes up for it in other ways. He may be dangerous, but he makes Addison feel safe and most importantly happy something that she has not fully felt in a while.

“The pull between us was crazy, and the longer I held his gaze, the faster my heart beat. ”

Cole contains plenty of secondary characters that add to the entertainment and drama of the story. Now one character who made my heart skip a beat when this name was mention was Carter Reed. I have Carter on my kindle and just never got around to reading it, but that is going to change for sure. He just such a lasting impression I need to read his story, and I need to read it now!!

Cole was a well-written story with plenty of twists that kept the book interesting. One thing I would have loved is More of Cole’s POV as I would have liked to know what he was thinking, but that being said didn’t take away my enjoyed this book. Tijan is a talented writer, and I look forward to reading more from this author.

abouttheauthorabtijan bio

I didn’t begin writing until after undergraduate college. There’d been storylines and characters in my head all my life, but it came to a boiling point one day and I HAD to get them out of me. So the computer was booted up and I FINALLY felt it click. Writing is what I needed to do. After that, I had to teach myself how to write. I can’t blame my teachers for not teaching me all those years in school. It was my fault. I was one of the students that was wishing I was anywhere but at school! So after that day, it took me lots of work until I was able to put together something that resembled a novel. I’m hoping I got it right since someone must be reading this profile! And I hope you keep enjoying my future stories.
