“Sunshine loved me forever and, whether or not I deserved that love, I never doubted it.

The Aftermath is book two in The Hurricane series by R.J Prescott and the sequel to Cormac “the Hurricane” O’Connell’ and Emily O’Connell’s story. Life is looking good for the newlywed couple Cormac’s boxing career is going from strength to strength and Emily is in her final year of college. However when someone from the past tries to threaten their happy ever after Cormac realizes he may have to fight his biggest fight to protect what is his.

“For more than a year, she’d been my sunshine in a dark place. Now it was my turn to be hers.”

Cormac and Emily are such an endearing couple. I adore the way Hurricane is with Emily, who simply is the love of his life and the person he would do anything for. They are so cute together, have a great connection and balance each other out.

“Sometimes it’s like she reached into my chest and held my heart in her hands just to remind me why it belonged to her”

I enjoyed the storyline it was heartwarming, sweet, sexy, funny, entertaining and just the right amount of drama. I liked the boxing scenes, which I felt, were well written. Loved catching up with the rest of the gang from Driscoll’s boxing gym and witnessing the strong unconditional love and friendship they have for each other

I was looking forward to reading this one, and R.J Prescott didn’t disappoint me. The book gives you a snippet of whose story R.J is writing next, and from what I read it looks like an interesting one. If you loved The Hurricane, then you won’t be disappointed with The Aftermath. Looking forward to reading more from R.J Prescottunspecified

11825733_519234454907377_416405804800108461_nI was born in Cardiff, South Wales although I left to study law at the University of Bristol, England. Four weeks before graduation I fell in love, and stayed. Ten years later I convinced my crazy, wonderful fire fighter husband to move back to Cardiff with me where we live with our two equally crazy sons. Juggling work, writing and family doesn’t leave a lot of time, but curling up on the sofa with a cup of tea and a bar of chocolate for family movie night is definitely the best part of my week. “The Hurricane” is my debut New Adult Novel.
