Title~ Nobody But You
Author ~ Jill Shalvis
Series ~ Cedar Ridge #3
Release Date ~ 29th March 2016

Synopsis

SOMETIMES YOU CAN GO HOME AGAIN…

After an overseas mission goes wrong, Army Special Forces officer Jacob Kincaid knows where he must go to make things right: back home to the tiny town of Cedar Ridge, Colorado. All he needs to scrub away his painful past is fresh mountain air, a lakeside cabin, and quiet solitude. But what he discovers is a gorgeous woman living on a boat at his dock.

Sophie Marren has nowhere else to go. She’s broke, intermittently seasick, and fighting a serious attraction to the brooding, dishy, I’m-too-sexy-for-myself guy who’s now claiming her dock. Something about Jacob’s dark intensity makes her want to tease—and tempt—him beyond measure. Neither one wants to give any ground . . . until they realize the only true home they have is with each other.

*** I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review ***

Nobody But You is my first Jill Shalvis book. I have a few of her books on my bookshelf but have just not got round to picking one up yet. So when this one landed in my inbox for review, I decided it was time to finally read my first Jill Shalvis book. I will point out that this is book 3 in the Cedar Ridge series and I normally don’t like jumping into a middle of a series, as OCD habits won’t let me, but as I didn’t have time to read the first two books I just went for it.

Love was the last thing on the minds of Jacob Kincaid and Sophie Marren. Jacob is returning home from an oversea mission wanting to reconnect with his family and Sophie is feeling low after her recent divorce. Sophie and Jacob didn’t hit it off straight away. However, it’s not long before sparks fly between them. As much as they try to fight the attraction they have for each other they soon discover it’s a losing battle.

“He was making it impossible for her to resist him, or even remember why she’d wanted to.”

I enjoyed the storyline and liked the characters they were perfect for each other. Sophie was great she make me laugh, I loved her sense of humor and her spirit. Jacob had those alpha qualities that I like and had a way with words that could make Sophie go weak at the knees.

“He was a smart enough guy to get that she was the one for him. He was also smart enough to know that he was going to have to work his ass off for it.”

Nobody But You was a sweet, funny, sexy romance story that left me with a smile on my face. I had made a point of not reading the synopsis of the first two books, as I didn’t want to get that feeling that I was missing important information about other characters and their storylines. And now after finishing, I would say it is definitely a book that can be read as a standalone as I didn’t get the sense I was missing out of anything from the previous books, which was good for me.

I have a feeling that this will not be my last Jill Shalvis book her writing style was relaxed, witty, cute and romantic just what I like when I looking for an easy read book.
